Bronze medal struck in celebration of the centenary of British rule in the Falkland Islands. The UK reasserted sovereignty over the Falklands in 1833. By 1933 the islands were governed as the Falkland Islands Dependencies. The obverse features Sir Bertram Mackennal’s crowned portrait of George V and the reverse holds coat of arms of the Falkland Islands, as used between 1925-1948 with the motto: 'Desire the Right'.
