Silver medal commemorating the marriage of Charles I of England to the Bourbon princess, Henrietta Maria of France in 1625. This medal is one of two known types. Both bear a similar double portrait to the obverse, the draped busts of the couple facing each other (vis-à-vis) under a sunburst. This reverse of this type shows the winged cupid, bearing roses and lilies.
