Collectable 2013 silver proof 5oz Britannia with one-year-only Britannia and owl design. This was the first five-ounce Britannia issued by The Royal Mint in 999 fine silver and the first £10 coin release in this popular range. 2013 proof Britannias feature an elegant reverse, designed by sculptor Robert Hunt and showing Britannia in the guise of a Roman goddess, seated with her trident in one hand and an owl perched on her knee - a symbol of wisdom. This is a popular iteration of the Britannia legend, displayed to great effect on this large 65.00 millimetre UK coin. Just 4,054 of these five-ounce silver proof Britannias were issued in 2013, and this one has been highly graded by NGC and given an additional First Releases designation.

999 Silver Proof Britannia

This is one of the first Britannias to be struck in 999 silver (earlier coins were minted in 958 Britannia silver). This five-ounce piece weighs 156.30 grams and measures 65.00 millimetres in diameter. Face value: Ten Pounds.

Limited Edition Collectable

3,500 of these five-ounce silver coins were issued in a First Strike Presentation, from a total mintage of 4,065 (maximum mintage: 4,650). This popular release remains highly sought after by collectors of Britannia.
