Portraits Of Queen Elizabeth II
These gold coins feature three distinct obverse portraits of Queen Elizabeth II by Mary Gillick (1957 to 1968), Arnold Machin (1974 to 1982) and Ian Rank-Broadley (2000 to 2003).
Saint George And The Dragon
Every Sovereign in the set features Benedetto Pistrucci's classic Saint George and the dragon reverse design, excepting the 2002 Golden Jubilee Sovereign, which displays a special shield of arms reverse by Timothy Noad.
22-Carat Gold Bullion Coins
Like all Sovereigns, these coins are struck in 7.98 grams of solid 22-carat gold and measure 22.05 millimetres from milled edge to milled edge - a historic specification. These bullion coins are all high-grade examples.
Limited Edition Collectors Set
Just 1,500 of these 21-coin Sovereign sets were put together by The Royal Mint in 2003 and issued to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's 50th Coronation anniversary. Large Sovereign sets like this are rare and sought after.
