This deluxe presentation brings together four beautifully struck proof coins from the 2026 Sovereign range:
The obverse of these four coins features Martin Jennings' uncrowned effigy of King Charles III, which first appeared on UK currency in 2022, surrounded by an inscription that reads 'CHARLES III · DEI · GRA · REX · FID · DEF ·'.
The reverse of each coin in this 2026 set shows Benedetto Pistrucci's celebrated early 19th-century engraving of Saint George triumphing over the dragon with the date below. This enduring design was first seen on Sovereigns in 1817.
All four proof coins in this set are struck in 22-carat yellow gold with a similar hue to historic British gold coins. In total, the coins in this set offer 27.45 of pure gold content, equivalent to 0.88254 troy ounces.
The Royal Mint has authorised the release of just 300 of these four-coin proof Sovereign sets for 2026. Proof Sovereign sets like this are one of the only ways to acquire a 2026 proof Double Sovereign or Quarter Sovereign.
Our pre-owned four-coin proof Sovereign sets are presented in the official wooden case from The Royal Mint, accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity and an informative booklet detailing the artistry and legacy of the Sovereign series.
