This deluxe five-coin Sovereign set includes the full suite of five 2026 proof Sovereigns:
All five coins feature Martin Jennings' official coinage effigy of King Charles III. The portrait, showing the King facing left and uncrowned, is surrounded by the Latin legend 'CHARLES III · DEI · GRA · REX · FID · DEF ·'.
The reverse of each coin displays Benedetto Pistrucci's legendary engraving of Saint George on horseback slaying the dragon, a design that has symbolised the Sovereign series since 1817. The date appears below the ground line.
Each proof Sovereign in this five-coin set is struck in 22-carat (91.67%) gold, with a restored yellow colour, typical of historic British Sovereigns. In total, the proof coins in this set weigh 69.88 grams, corresponding to an actual gold weight of 64.06 grams or 2.05958 troy ounces.
The Royal Mint has confirmed an edition limit of just 500 sets for this five-coin edition. This is the largest Sovereign set available for 2026 and is the only way to acquire the gold proof 2026 Quintuple Sovereign.
Each of these five-coin sets is housed in a glossy wooden case, accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity and an illustrated booklet exploring the history and artistry behind the Sovereign.
