2026 Concorde Fifty Pence Gold Proof Coin
Concorde 50th Anniversary Coin
This coin was designed by creative agency Osbourne Ross and shows Concorde in flight with the lettering - 'CONCORDE' - designed to look like a split-flap departure board with '21 JANUARY 1976' below.
Portrait Of King Charles III
The Concorde design is paired with Martin Jennings' official coinage portrait of King Charles III, as used on standard UK currency coins, with an inscription that reads 'CHARLES III · D · G · REX · F · D · 50 PENCE · 2026 ·'.
Made From Solid 22-Carat Gold
This Fifty Pence coin is struck in 15.50 grams of solid 22-carat (91.67% fine) gold with a premium proof finish, achieved with multiple strikes of hand-prepared dies for an effect that contrasts frosted devices with mirrored surfaces.
Limited Edition Official Collectable
The Royal Mint has authorised the release of just 125 of these gold proof Concorde coins in 2026 to mark the 50th anniversary. These coins have been created by the UK's national mint in partnership with Airbus and British Airways.
