Commemorative RAF Centenary Badge gold proof UK Two Pound coin from The Royal Mint. This premium collector's coin is part of The Royal Mint's RAF centenary collection, released to mark 100 years since the force was founded on 1 April 1918, towards the end of the First World War. This Two Pound coin features the Royal Air Force's badge, which features a crown and an albatross, as interpreted by Rhys Morgan. The obverse shows Jody Clark's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Mirroring the appearance of a circulating £2 coin, this 22-carat gold edition has a bimetallic appearance with an inner ring of yellow-coloured gold and an outer ring of red gold. Just 1,000 coins of this type were authorised for issue by The Royal Mint. This centres on an albatross in front of a crowned ring which reads ''PER ARDUA · AD ASTRA' ('through adversity to the stars') with 'THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ROYAL AIR FORCE' above and '1918-2018' below.

Struck in 15.97 grams of 22-carat gold, this UK coin has a bimetallic appearance thanks to an outer rim of red-toned gold and an inner ring of yellow gold. This coin measures 28.40 millimetres in diameter: the same as standard British Two Pound coins.
