Each coin in this 2017-dated set features a unique design by Michael Guilfoyle, illustrating the contributions made by British monarchs to the success of the East India Company with portraits inspired by each King or Queen's coinage.
Raphael Maklouf's classic coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II features on the obverse of each coin in this set, along with an inscription which reads '· ST. HELENA · QUEEN ELIZABETH II ·' with 'ONE POUND 2017' below.
The nine coins in this set are each struck in 8 grams of 24-carat gold and measure 25 millimetres in diameter, making them a little larger than a Sovereign. In total this East India Company set offers 72 grams of pure gold.
