In The Beginning Was The Word
The reverse of this 2011 Royal Mint coin was designed by Paul Stafford and Benjamin Wright and inspired by John 1:1, 'In the beginning was the Word'. This verse is rendered in the blackletter typeface used to print the first edition of the King James Bible, with the corresponding printing blocks to the left. The words 'KING JAMES BIBLE' are shown above, with the anniversary dates '1611-2011' below.
