2008 Royal Arms Shield One Pound Gold Proof Coin

Shield of Royal Arms 2008 UK One Pound coin, struck in solid 22-carat gold and offered complete with the original packaging from The Royal Mint.

This new definitive £1 reverse was created by Matthew Dent as part of the 2008 overhaul of British currency coins. While Pound coins feature a full shield design, the other six UK circulation coins display portions of the Royal Arms which can be fitted together like a puzzle.
