The obverse of this 2001 gold coin features a portrait of Victoria's great-great-granddaughter, Queen Elizabeth II, by Ian Rank-Broadley, together with an inscription which reads 'ELIZABETH · II · D · G REG · F · D · 2001'.
Mary Milner Dickens designed the reverse of this UK £5, which features a small portrait of Queen Victoria within a large 'V' with decorative ironwork around it. The words '5 POUNDS' are shown to the lower left.
This coin is struck in 39.94 grams of solid 22-carat gold and has a face value of Five Pounds. Issued with a proof finish, the piece measures 38.61 millimetres from milled edge to milled edge.
