Chinese Culture 24ct gold proof coin set, assembled by The Royal Mint in the original box of issue. This highly limited set - from an edition of just 100 - includes five Ten Yaun 999 gold coins, each weighing a tenth of a troy ounce. Each features a different design, representing the history and culture of China, including the Beijing Opera, the philoosopher Mencius, the lion dance, Emperor Tai Zong and Chines pagodas. These 10 Yuan coins were re-valued at 50 Yuan in 2001 due to an increase in the price of gold and this set was put together and issued by the Uk's national mint in 2007. The encapsulated coins are offered with individually numbered Chinese certificates of authenticity, plus and information booklet from The Royal Mint.
