Forty years on, The Royal Mint celebrated a nearly unprecedented milestone in the Queen's reign, releasing a collection of Crown-sized coins to mark the anniversary. This 39.94-gram 22-carat gold proof edition features two one-off designs by Robert Elderton, showing St Edward's Crown surrounded by trumpets, and an iteration of Elizabeth's first coinage portrait, encircled by heralds.
