Viking Arms And Armour Design

The detailed reverse of this 1982 coin features a design by Leslie Lindsay inspired by Viking armour and weapons of the 9th to 13th centuries, incorporating a winged helmet, a breastplate, broadswords, spears, battle axes and daggards, as well as a shield showing the 'lymphard' - a Viking galley.
