2005 End Of World War Two Five Pound Silver Proof Channel Islands Coin Set

Channel Islands Celebration set from The Royal Mint, with three silver £5 coins, marking the 60th anniversary of the end of World War Two.

• The 2005 Jersey £5 coin shows Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament with searchlights in the sky
• The Guernsey silver coin shows Winston Churchill and King George VI waving
• The Alderney coin features female soldiers or land girls waving Union Jack flags

All three reverse designs are the work of Mike Guilfoyle and are paired with a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Each Five Pound is struck in solid .925 sterling silver and issued as part of a limited edition presentation of no more than 5,000 sets.
