The reverse design features a scissor-tailed flycatcher, the state bird, with Indian fireblankets, the state flower, surrounding it. The obverse of the collectable 2008 Oklahoma State Quarter shows George Washington as designed by John Flanagan. This is the first 2008-dated state quarter coin, struck in 5.67 grams of cupronickel alloy. A total of 416,600,000 were struck, which is on the lower end for the series.
