1999 Gibraltar Two Pound coin featuring the Mares of Diomedes - the eighth release in the Pobjoy Mint Labours of Hercules collection.

Hercules was ordered to steal the Mares of Diomedes as his eighth labour. These wild, man-eating horses were kept by the Thracian king Diomedes. Hercules overpowered Diomedes and fed him to his own mares, calming the beasts before driving them back to Eurystheus.
