1997 Golden Wedding Five Pound Coin

These collectable UK £5 coins were released in 1997 to mark the Golden Wedding Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

1997 Five Pounds are unusual for featuring a double portrait of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, by Philip Nathan. The reverse shows two shields of arms, plus the couple's anniversary dates (1947 and 1997) with a crown above and an anchor below, designed by Leslie Durbin.
