1992 Mont Saint-Michel Twenty Francs Circulated French Coin

The first modern tri-metallic coin: 1992 French 20 Francs, featuring Mont-Saint-Michel - a UNESCO World Heritage site in Normandy, France.

The tidal island is known for its medieval abbey, once a major pilgrimage destination and today a major tourist attraction. The obverse of the coin shows Mount Saint Michael reflected in the water, while the reverse reads '20F'. This design was used on French coins from 1992 to 2001.
