This Royal Mint BUnc £2 coin is a tribute to one of the UK's most formidable warships: HMS Belfast. Launched in 1938, just before the outbreak of the Second World War, the HMS Belfast took part in some of the most notable naval action of the conflict, including the Battle of North Cape and the sinking of the German warship Scharnhorst. Later in the War, HMS Belfast supported the Normandy Landings. She would see further action in the Korean War. Today, HMS Belfast is a museum ship moored on the River Thames and managed by the Imperial War Museums. The IWM has collaborated with the Royal Mint to create this brilliant uncirculated coin, which shows HMS Belfast cutting through the waves in a design by Gary Breeze. You will receive this BU Two Pound coin in its original sleeve, packed with information on HMS Belfast. Buy with us and enjoy free UK shipping.
