The 2008 Silver Kookaburra features the head of Elizabeth II in a regal sculpture by Ian Rank-Broadley. The legend, struck against a contrasting shiny ring, reads 'AUSTRALIA · 1 DOLLAR · ELIZABETH II'.

Reverse: 2008 Australian Kookaburra Coin  

2008 features another unique reverse design for the Silver Kookaburra. Here, an inquisitive kookaburra studies an intricate spider's web from a barbed wire vantage point. The design is backed by an attractive frosted finish. Above, the inscription reads 'THE AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA' which is followed by the '2008' mintage year. Behind the bird is a small specification inscription: '1oz. 999 SILVER'.
