The 2005 American Eagle $1 displays Adolph A Weinman's Walking Liberty design on its obverse. This originally Roman deity is joined by an above inscription 'LIBERTY' and the national motto:  'IN GOD WE TRUST'.

Reverse Of 1989 American Silver Eagle

From its 1986 introduction up to 2021, the American Silver Eagle has shown a heraldic eagle on the reverse side. This work by John Mercanti is inspired by the Great Seal of the United States and was produced for this official bullion coin. The inscription encircling the olive-grasping eagle reads 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA' and is followed by '1OZ. FINE SILVER - ONE OUNCE'.
