Dora de Pedery-Hunt designed the legacy portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, which is present on the obverse of this coin. The Royal Canadian Mint include it with the legend 'ELIZABETH II 5 DOLLARS 2001'.

Foliage Reverse Design

Central on the reverse of this 2001 silver coin is a large maple leaf, the floral symbol of Canada. Flanking the detailed leaf is a dual inscription of '9999' and the specification outline of 'FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR'.
