One in a three-coin set commemorating The Bard's many works, this 22-carat coin concerns those plays with a lighter tone, like 'Twelfth Night' and 'Much Ado About Nothing'. John Bergdahl created the reverse design, which shows a jester's hat and stick together in readiness for performance. On the obverse side is Jody Clark's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, introduced the previous year. This is a .9167 fine gold UK £2 coin with a gross weight of 15.97 grams, struck with a proof finish and a bimetallic two-tone appearance. Running along the edge is a quote taken from 'As You Like It'.
