A collectable silver Grosso struck in Venice, Italy between the years 1312 to 1328 under Giovanni Soranzo. The obverse features the Doge (sometimes translated as Duke) standing, facing receiving a banner from Saint Mark: Venice’s patron saint. The reverse shows a forward-facing throned figure of Jesus Christ Pantocrator (or Christ in Majesty or Christ in Glory).
