A scarce hammered silver Penny of King Edward the Second struck under Bishop Kellawe under authority from the king in Durham during the period 1307-1327. This penny of class 12a has the usual facing bust of the king to the obverse, the long cross with the three pellets in each quarter to the reverse. Bishop Richard De Kellawe died on 10th October 1316.
