2026 3-Coin Proof Sovereign Set

This premium collectors set includes three coins from the 2026 proof Sovereign collection, including:

  • 2026 Proof Sovereign
  • 2026 Proof Half Sovereign
  • 2026 Proof Quarter Sovereign

Martin Jenning's Royal Portrait

The obverse of each coin features Martin Jennings' uncrowned effigy of King Charles III, first introduced in 2022. The refined portrait is framed by a Latin inscription that reads  'CHARLES III · DEI · GRA · REX · FID · DEF ·'.

Saint George And The Dragon

On the reverse, Benedetto Pistrucci's timeless 19th-century design depicts Saint George on horseback defeating a dragon, a motif that has been synonymous with the Sovereign series since 1817. The year of issue appears below the ground line.

Struck In 22-Carat Yellow Gold

Each coin in the set is struck in 22-carat gold (91.67% fine), following a specification that has remained unchanged for over two centuries. The 2026 issue marks a return to a classic yellow gold alloy, seen on historic British Sovereigns.

How Many 2026 Sovereign Sets Were Issued?

Just 650 of these three-coin sets have been authorised for release worldwide by The Royal Mint. Sets like these are the only way of acquiring the proof Quarter Sovereign, which is not set for individual release.

Premium Royal Mint Collectors Set

These pre-owned three-coin Sovereign sets come complete with the official Royal Mint presentation case, which contains the three Sovereigns, plus an individually numbered certificate of authenticity.
